Background
UN Sacco, established in August 1996 under the Cooperatives Act, has grown significantly over the years. As of today, its shareholder value exceeds MK 1 billion, highlighting its financial strength and growth. On April 9th, 2015, UN Sacco was officially licensed by the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM), a move that ensures the institution operates within stringent regulatory frameworks. This licensing provides assurance to members that their funds are safeguarded, with the central bank regularly supervising the Sacco's Board of Directors and Management. Such oversight helps ensure that all established guidelines are followed, protecting members' investments and fostering trust within the cooperative.
