ICT OFFICER

Job title: ICT Officer

Staff supervised:  NONE 

Job Summary: The overall objective of ICT Officer is to drive both ICT strategy and day to day operational ICT and web services provision, ensuring that the SACCO staff and members have suitable technical resources, applications and support to achieve their objectives (on site and remotely) effectively, securely, and with a competitive and innovative edge.

Acquiring and managing partnerships with other money transfer service providers, Hub Co. technical support team, CRB. All of this to be achieved within reasonable budget constraints.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Be responsible for all ICT operational activities and take responsibility for the effective management, performance and improvement of SACCO’s ICT Functions.
  • Ensure that all ICT operating systems and applications are secure and fit for purpose
  • Prepare ICT department’s annual business plan, annual budget and monitor and control expenditure within the department.
  • Create and manage user accounts for all SACCO systems (FIN-FINANCIAL, RBM)
  • Update and maintain SACCO’s website
  • Deal with routine queries and complaints
  • Resolving of ICT queries by given TATs
  • Producing of reports on members without loans
  • Ensure availability of core banking system at all times
  • Processing of monthly internet subscription
  • Ensure availability of USSD at all times
  • Timely replacement of office gadgets
  • Engagement with service providers
  • Resolving all hardware and software issues
  • Daily monitoring of antivirus and Back up on all office computers
  • Mobilizing members to get loans
  • Producing report on loan repayment

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field Computer Science, Computer Networking, Programming, and Information Systems.
  • Minimum of three years’ work experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
